Four students. Different backgrounds.
One shared question: how can we help?
We wanted to give our community a simple way to support children facing trafficking and exploitation. Baking was something we could do together, and selling cookies gave us a way to raise funds, share what we were learning, and invite others to help.
Cookies are part of the ordinary happiness of childhood. Shared with friends. Brought home to family. Given just because. We believe every child deserves that kind of ordinary.
That idea became Bright Bites: a student-led initiative bringing Southern Oregon together to support Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation’s work against trafficking and slavery.

03 / THE PURPOSE BEHIND THE PURCHASE
A LITTLE COOKIE. A BIGGER WHY. ↗We support Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, a Vietnam-based nonprofit helping children and adults escape trafficking and slavery. Its rescue work focuses on Vietnamese people within Vietnam and in nearby countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand.

Sales Strategy & Community Partnerships
An Oregon native connecting local businesses, our community, and Blue Dragon. His love of cooking and friendships across borders helped inspire Bright Bites.
Marketing & Outreach
Born in Hồ Chí Minh City, Mii brings a personal connection to Vietnam. She oversees Bright Bites’ social media presence and public outreach, sharing our story and encouraging community involvement.
Baking & Recipe Development
Originally from China, Hannah develops our recipes and bakes alongside our volunteers, bringing students together through every batch.
Finance & Digital Operations
An international student from China, Alice manages our website, packaging procurement, and finances to keep Bright Bites organized and transparent.

Sales cover essential ingredient, packaging, and logistical expenses. We donate 100% of the remaining profits to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation. Sales revenue and donated funds are tracked separately.

We offer a recipe made with gluten-free flour. It contains butter and egg, so it is not vegan or dairy-free. All cookies are prepared in a kitchen that also processes wheat. Please contact us about ingredients and cross-contact before ordering.
